Solstice padded slowly along, alternately sniffing the ground and lifting his head to sample the soft breezes. White-tails, he thought, but... only does? Why isn't there a buck to keep an eye on them? He trotted to small rolling rise, the perfect spot to espy the Meadow. He stopped at the hill's peak, awaiting Arvais and Crimson, who should be close behind him. He could easily see two grazing deer, and maybe, yes there was a third, younger, playing in the grass.

Crimson slowly creeps along side of Solstice. "Seems your keen muzzle surpasses your predecessor." Crimson lays his belly on the ground. he shift his eyes toward Solstice ' that's strange why isn't there any bucks around could it be possable Solstice plans to kill the young one? ' Crimson thought to himself. He sniffs the air to see if there was any change. Then looks toward the base of the hill waiting for Arvais arrival.
(OOC:Argh...this was probably my worse post even done.)

Arvais took the last few steps left to the top of the rise. He peered down and caught the first glimpse of the whitetail he and his companions had caught wind of nearly three miles and twenty minutes ago. There were two does, both quite large, and a fawn with no sign of any bucks. Arvais had expected this as it was summer now and bucks had generally lost their interest in does and therefore preferred to wander solo or with other bucks. I just love hunting during the off season. Less bucks equals less confrontation and easier meals...and not to mention that doe meat is so much leaner and tastier than buck. "Ok you two; this is what I need for you to do. Our goal is going to be one of the two does. The fawn is the easiest to take down, but wouldn't make for much of a meal. See where the North-western tip of the meadow is, that is the farthest corner of the meadow. The doe will not want to go that way since it will mean they will be in the open for too long and will make them much easier to take down. We are going to force them into doing just that. Crimson, you are to sneak around to the North-east side as that will be the closest way for them back into the forest and will be the opposite direction from where I will be coming from. Stay somewhat south of them though as we want them to head the long way and not turn southeast as that end is also close to the forest and will ruin our strategy. Solstice, I want you to make your way to the North-west tip as that is the way the deer will be heading. Put simply we are going to surround them so that they have no way to go. Wait until I make my move first, then Crimson will come in second and then wait until they get nearer to the corner and solstice will come at them head on. Crimson, your position is most crucial because if you are not exactly where you need to be the deer will go the wrong direction and make it much harder to get a meal. The deer will not know what to think with hardly anywhere to go and will hesitate. This is where they will fall because they will slow down and attempt to make it through the only way that is left. They will have no choice but to try and go between us and even they will know that they have no chance at escape. Remember; don't worry about getting more than one doe as one is plenty of meat. If anyone has anything to say before we go, speak now. Otherwise, good luck.

Solstice nodded. The plan was well thought out, and relatively simple to execute. They needed to make sure all were in the right positions. He was also glad for the slot that had been drawn for him. He would not need to run far, unless something went wrong, of course, but he was not going to think about that. 'The Northwest tip, right,' he thought. He slipped down the hill and set into a light wolf-trot, as if he had absolutely nothing better to do with himself. He swung wide, and around, finally ending where he needed to be. He settled down and waited, resting up for when he would need to charge, when he would need to prove himself.

Crimson runs the scenerios countless times in his head making sure he'd didn't miss something crucial with Arvais' plan. 'Got it', Crimson thoght to himself. He then nods to Arvais and turns to get into position. Heeding Arvais warning Crimson made should he was south of the does but also he hid inside the forest so if they even tried to head for it he could emerge spooking them the other way.
