Both Gods control what animals pass in the area. That goes for predators and prey. If you want to hunt youfll have to wait for a heard or solitary prey to enter your area. If you want to hunt and no animals are passing in your area you can pray to the Gods for some prey. Admins will respond to it as soon as they are on.
This is how itfll look:
*A herd of elk is passing through Terra vally. There are five elk in the herd; Two males and three females. One of the elk has hurt her left hind leg. Watch out for the males they donft tolerate predators near their females.*
If you see a post like the one above itfs up to you to decide if you are going to hunt this herd. Remember, a lone wolf canft bring down a single elk by themselves. There needs to be at least three to hunt Elk. Two if an elk is injured.
The 'hunting message' won't just tell you up straight where the herd or solitary animal will be, but itfll give you clues to where theyfre at. In any place whether it be pack or loner lands therefs a couple of places to go. From these places you need to figure out where the herd is (look in a placefs description to find out). Once youfve figured it out, you need to start tracking them in that area (FYI: Rp tracking them in that area. ). Donft worry if you start in the wrong place. Youfll soon realize your mistake. ;3
Notice that the message says 'One of the elk has hurt her left hind leg'. It's up to you to find this hindered elk yourself since the Gods didnft ACTUALLY announce all this. Itfs just there for you to know and your character to figure out if they do. Look for hints (Ex: eOne of the Elk has hurt her left hind legf) as to which one is hindered though, because if you chase a healthy Elk you may have a harder time bringing it down. To ensure this doesnft happen (unless you want to chase a healthy elk for whatever reason) take your time sizing them up or run them (or chase them basicly). The hindered Elk might just give itself away. ;3
If you hunt pray you donft control what they do. Again, an admin does. Donft worry if the pray attacks back itfs up to you if they hit or not.
Hunts should flow like this: Your character (or Pack) attempts something. The pray attempts something. Your character (or Pack) attempts something. The pray attempts somethingc etc.
*Note:* Having a plan before you act is a good way to insure a good hunt. Be sure to share it with who ever is hunting with you if there are any. ;3
